  HEADACHE
   
  Headaches are as common as " common cold ". Headache may be of migraine nature if it affects the circulation, and may be of a tension type if it affects the muscles.

When do you get headache?
- Trauma-injury
- Drug Induced
- Stress and Strain
- Constipation
- Eye/Ear/Dental problems
- Psycogenic
- Sinus
- Neck Pain
- Pre menstrual H. A.

What triggers headache?
- Irregular Sleep pattern
- Bright Light or Loud Noise
- Hormonal Changes
- Prolong Fasting
- Emotions
- Certain Type of Food

- Hunger
- Disturbed sleep

Investigations:
Pathological, EEG, X-ray Skull, CT- MRI Scan, etc should be done as and when necessary as prescribed by the Doctor.

Symptoms:
- Pain on one side or both or whole head
- May get up with pain
- Pain radiating from neck area
- Nausea/ vomiting
- Impaired Vision
- Giddiness
- High blood pressure

Treatment:
Remember 3 R's…. Reassurance, Rest, and Relaxation.

After proper evaluation and diagnosis, physiotherapy should be started.
Educate the patient
Maintain "Headache Diary"
Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation
Biofeedback
Relaxation exercises
Ergonomics
